Useful tips
Method of implantation
1. WEEDING
In case of perennial weeds, treat with a 0.02/0.03 lb glyphosate herbicide before starting working the soil.
2. IRRIGATION
Install the automatic irrigation system as to ensure that turf grass water needs are fully met.
3. SOIL OPERATIONS
Apply fertilizer and eventual soil conditioners (peat in sandy soils, sand in clay soils) then proceed with tilling (about 6 inches deep).
4. CLEANING AND LEVELLING
Rake carefully, removing twigs and rocks, roll the soil lighly until obtaining an even surface
5. LAYING TURF
Slightly wet the ground and always start laying on the longer side, well joined to each other
6. ROLLING
Roll turf grass immediately and water abundantly as soon as possible. Repeat the same operation the following day.
FURTHER CARE
During the first week after laying, the irrigation must be done daily and should be abundant, always during daylight. At the height of summer the irrigations should be repeated during the hottest hours. The grass can be cut for the first time after rooting (7/15 days). Only after the first cut, is it advisable to fertilize with a slow release fertilizer (dose of about 3 kg per every 100 square meters).
